We have been told that the B4234 Forest Road/New Road has been closed due to tree cutting by Forestry England. As a result service 23 will need to divert as follows :-
Service 23 to Coleford will serve Lydney Bus Station and will turn left into Newerne Street as normal. It will then continue past the end of Forest Road and, after a further 260 yards, it will turn right into B4231 Bream Road. When it reaches Bream it will turn right into High Street. It will continue through Bream to the end of Parkend Road where it will turn right onto Coleford Road. After 0.4 miles, it will turn right at Parkend onto the B4234 New Road towards Whitecroft. When it reaches Whitecroft it will rejoin the normal route by turning right into Pillowell Road towards Bream.
Service 23 to Gloucester will serve from Bream to Whitecroft as normal but will turn left at the end of Pillowell Road onto the B4234 instead of right. At the end of the road, it will turn left onto Coleford Road. After 0.4 miles it will turn left into Parkend Road towards Bream. After passing through Bream, it will turn left from High Street onto the B4231 towards Lydney. When it reaches Lydney it will turn left onto Newerne Street and will re-join the normal route as it passes the end of Forest Road.
We anticipate that the diversion will add 7 minutes to the journey in each direction. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, albeit out of our control.
