Please see map attached for areas that will be thinned. We may move around the work areas slightly due to powerline and wildlife conservation constraints. The powerline area is due to be worked at the end of June/early July.
We will be thinning mixed broadleaved stands to favour the best stems, reducing competition and improving stand health. We will also remove larch where possible to favour other species due to the disease Phytophtora ramorum.
We ask that members of the public take note of safety signs and measures; these are there for their safety and the safety of the forest workers.
