Governance & Scrutiny Committee

Governance Committee considers all matters relating to the governance of the Council. This includes, the committee structure of the Council, including powers and responsibilities; the Council’s relationships with other public authorities; the transferring of some of its responsibilities onto other organisations or absorbing some responsibilities from other organisations, and the creation of new charitable or voluntary organisations to allow the transfer of such powers and responsibilities. Governance Committee meets on an ad-hocbasis – when necessary.
