Review of Polling Districts, Places and Stations 2024
Under Section 18(c) of the RPA 1983 The Council has a duty to carry out a review of its parliamentary and local government polling districts and places between 2 October 2023 and 31 January 2025. The last review took place in 2022.
The review must be carried out to make sure that all electors have reasonable facilities for voting as are practicable.
The review will consider all existing polling districts and places within the Forest of Dean district. It will not, however, cover boundaries relating to parliamentary constituencies, county council electoral divisions, district council wards, parish or parish wards.
Any elector in the local authority area may make a representation in relation to the size and boundaries of polling districts and the location and suitability of polling places. The Council welcomes comments from elected representatives, local political parties, community groups and any person or body with expertise in access for persons with any type of disability.
Relevant information and mapping regarding the current arrangements and proposals for changes can be found on the Council’s website https://www.fdean.gov.uk/pollingreview/, or can be inspected at Forest of Dean District Council, Council Offices, High Street, Coleford GL16 8HG.
